I’ve been playing with Animoto lately to make curriculum music videos. The basic account is free, but you can only make a 30-second video with it. I have also just discovered the 30-second video can be shared but can’t be downloaded. Now I need to decide whether ot not to subscribe to the next level. Here is an example of the 30-second video I made for Little Audrey by Ruth White. It is one of the Virginia Readers’ Choice books for the 2010-2011 school year!
We are working on creating a board game program in the Hungary Creek Library this year. We are looking for new or gently used donations of the following board games:
- Trivial Pursuit for Kids – 6th Edition
- Scrabble
- Monopoly
- Checkers/ Chess
- Clue
- Battleship
- Yahtzee
- other classic board games
If you are able to help, please send any new or gently used donations to the Library Information Center. Thank you so much for your support! We appreciate your help!
Here is a Wordle example for the Hungary Creek library. Students were asked to give three to five words to describe the library and three to five words that describe what takes place in the library or what they do in the library. These words were used on the Wordle website to create our own personal Wordle. You can use Wordle, too! The link is on the left side of this blog. What do you think?
Take a look at the new Web 2.0 links in the left column! There are great links for making comic strips, movies & presentations, images, avatars and word clouds. What a fun way to present information! We will try to highlight some of these tools in the coming months. Until then, explore away!
